Seen the footage of last weekend's Billabong Pro at Teahupoo yet? if not it’s well worth a watch of the highlights below. Some fo the craziest waves ever ridden.
One of our partners in crime, the Irish nutter Fergal Smith was in Tahiti last week, however not being a lover of crowds, Ferg opted to leave just as the Billabong Pro circus and it's entourage rolled into town. Meanwhile his occasional tow-in partner Walshy stuck it out and ended up getting this bomb (above) on possibly the most mental day of surfing in history.
Now the sensible question is where was Fergal for this monstrous swell? The answer dear people is off his face with us circus freaks helping run the impromptu SLUT HULA HOOP CHAMPIONSHIPS at Reading Festival. Whilst Walshy was getting insane barrels like this, Ferg was throwing Hula Hoops over drunk people at long distance whilst trying not to hit any passers by. Something which looks easy, but believe us it takes a lot of skill! Ferg made an admirable choice we reckon.
